These dead skin cells are responsible for dull, flaky, and rough skin. getting a good exfoliant will do the cleaning you should exfoliate once or twice a week, They are two types of exfoliants the chemical base which is usually in liquids, an example of a chemical base exfoliant is AHA (Alpha hydroxyl Acid) which includes salicylic acid, lactic acid, citric acid, lactic acid, Malic acid, etc these exfoliants are very soothing. While physical exfoliants are mostly in a solid state but you can also find some of these physical exfoliants in a semi-liquid state normally known as scrub they are varieties of scrub that contain organic ingredients such as sugar scrub, honey scrub, and sea salt scrub that are soothing to the body.

3. Moisturizer: One of the results of dry and rough skin is a lack of moisturizer when shopping for a lotion don’t just get any lotion, go for a moisturizer this is why you should get a moisturizer. Moisturizer is a lightweight lotion that can be easily absorbed by the skin which helps to soften dry skin and get rid of flaky skin. Moisturizers also prevent heat absorption due to their lightweight most heavyweight lotion find it hard to penetrate the skin hence causing heat absorption.

They are quite some good natural moisturizers like Shea butter, mango butter, cocoa butter, almond butter, hempseed butter, etc These moisturizers are very good for the skin and it is advisable to always moisturize your skin twice a day especially at night because most skin care products tend to be more effective at night. After all, the body is more relaxed and free from UV radiation at night. Remember a good moisturizer will give you that soft, smooth, and glowing skin.

4. Use Antioxidants For Your Skin: Antioxidants are natural substances mostly gotten from fruits that are meant to protect the skin from free radicals, free radicals are chemical compounds that may cause damage to the skin the use of antioxidants helps to inhibit the growth of these free radicals. One thing you should not miss in your body care routine is the use of antioxidants which should be applied immediately after your moisturizer most of these antioxidants can be found in body oils.

If you want to shop for body oil don’t just go for any body oil go for the ones that contain antioxidants examples of antioxidants are vitamin C, vitamin E, Retinol, and Niacin-amide which is known as Niacin vitamin B3,  vitamin A, Green tea, etc

5 . The Use Of Sunscreen: Without the use of sunscreen it’s like a waste of skincare products. UV rays also known as ultraviolet radiation has been said to provide the skin with vitamin D, but they can also cause great damage to the skin by damaging the immune system of the skin leaving the skin dull and uneven. The use of sunscreen prevents UV rays from penetrating the skin. Sunscreen should be used in the morning after applying your skincare products. Sunscreen should be worn at all times whether you are indoors or outdoors because sunscreen can help your skincare products to become more effective.

A good sunscreen it’s high in SPF because it helps to block the UV rays from penetrating the skin and it also lasts long on the skin compared to the ones with lower SPF a water resistance SPF is the best, when shopping for the sunscreen you should go for the one high in SPF such as SPF 30, SPF 50, SPF 100 these sunscreens with high SPF can prevent more photons from penetrating the skin. The use of sunscreen will prevent sunburn and help your skincare products to be more effective in giving you that glowing skin.
